As I told you in my “What I got for my Birthday”-post, my parents got me a waffle maker for my birthday, wich unfortunately has the side-effect that the most of the time I search for new waffle recipes when I am on Pinterest, but I also search for healthy ones, so it is okay, I guess. Some time ago I stumbled upon a recipe for vegan banana waffles and tried it, but they didn´t turn out right, which is why I tried the not vegan version and added an egg then they turned out perfectly and they were very delicious, so I had to share the recipe with you. But I will try the vegan version again with a different recipe. I´ll let you know how I get on! But let´s get the mixer out and whisk up some waffles!
Ingredients (for 4 waffles)
- 250g flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tbsp. vanilla sugar
- 100ml milk
- 2 bananas, mashed up
- 3 tbsp. cocoa powder
- Some oil for the waffle maker
Mix all the ingredients for the dough together and leave it for 10 min., so that the dough can set a little bit. Heat your waffle maker and prepare it with some oil. Fill your waffle maker with the dough and wait until the waffle is finished. You can stack them and put some greek yoghurt and berries on top. Tastes delicious!
