RECIPE: Homemade Ginger Lemonade

As you may know: I am not the biggest fan of Summer…..its out! Don’t get wrong, I love the swimming  the ice cream, long evenings but I just don’t get on with the heat and all the  problems that come with her. However one thing I really like: the cool dinks in Summer. Especially homemade lemonades that aren’t a sweet as the shop ones. One of my absolutely favourite ones is Ginger lemonade! Yummm! I thought I share my recipe with you, so that we can fight the heat together!

Let’s go!

You will need for  1 Liter of Lemonade

  • 1 bulb of ginger
  • 300g sugar
  • 1 Liter Mineral water
  • a bunch of mint

First you want to peel the ginger and slice it in slices. Put it into a pan together with the sugar and 100ml water and bring it to boil. Once the sugar is solved, leave the whole mixture for a good half an hour. Then fill the syrup in a big jar and fill it up with the mineral water. Decorate with a bunch of mint and some ice cubes. Et Voilá the perfect summer drink!
