RECIPE: Oreo Cheesecake Chocolate Cake

img_9461My little sister turned nine on the 19th of February and I had the duty to make the best birthday cake ever. When I asked her what she wanted, she said that the cake should be big and with chocolate, and oreo´s and Anna, Elsa and Olaf from Frozen should be on there too. A little bit overwhelmed I started a search on Pinterest to find a cake that covers all those wishes. As you can guess my search wasn´t that suceessfull as I hoped, so I asked her what her favourite cake is and she said a chocolate cake or a cheescake with cookies. At least that was something I can work with.

So I searched for an Oreo Chokolate Cheescake but I found a chocolate cake and an Oreo cheescake. I combined both and voila I had the best birthday cake ever for my sister. If you ask yourself where Olaf, Anna and Elsa are? My sister got some blue glitter Elsa earrings and an Anna and Olaf puzzle, so she didn´t even recognized that Anna, Olaf and Elsa aren´t on the cake as wished.

If you want to recreate the best birthday cake ever you will Need:

  • 160g sugar
  • a pinch of cinnamon
  • 40g flour
  • 120ml cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 pack of Oreo,s
  • 100ml cream

img_9464The first thing you want to do is to make the cheescake so it can completley cool. Preheat your oven 180C° and prepare a 24 ∅ round tin.For the cheescake you want to cream together 250g cream cheese, 1 egg, 80g sugar, a pinch of cinnamon,20g flour and 60ml cream. Then you want to crush half a pack of oreos in crumbles and then add them to the mixture. Put it into the prepared round tin and bake for ca. 20 minutes. Repeat this process with the remaining ingredients. Let them cool down completly.

For the chocolate cake you want to put the milk, butter and chocolate into a pan and melt them at a low heat. Then add the sugar and the cocoa powder. In a big mixing bowl beat your eggs until they are pale and thick. Add the creme fraiche to the eggs and beat again. When the creme fraiche is combined add the chocolate milk. Stir again until they are one mixture. Sift the flour, natron and salt into the mixture and stir again. The mixture is very runny so you will need a tight baking tin. Bake your cake at 175C° for about 50 minutes. Let him cool down completly in the tin.img_9462

For the chocolate cream you want to melt the chocolate with the icing sugar and the cocoa powder, then add 100ml cream and leave it to cool. You may want to put it even in the fridge.

I both “cakes” are cool, you want to cream the 100ml cream with the icing sugar until they are stiff. Then you cut the chocolate cake into three layers. Place the bottom on a big plate, spread some cream on and stick one cheescake on top. Then place the next chocolate cake, spread some cream and the second cheescake on top. If you have some cream leftover spread it on the cheescake layer before placing the last chocolate layer. Put the cake into the fridge. img_9457

When everything is really cool, cream the remaining cream from the chocolate cream until it is stiff and then add slowly the chocolate cream. Then spread the chocolate cream evenly on the cake and decorate with some Oreos. Et voila!
